David has taught the fundamentals of organizing to thousands of people by utilizing a variety of community organizing techniques, and harnessing the power of storytelling.

Teaching and practicing what he learnt as one of four principal trainers of the Midwest Academy (one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious social change organizing training institutions), David has been instrumental in winning many victories for both individuals and the communities they serve . 

David creates a safe space where everyone’s voice and visions can be shared and heard, to heal, empower and transform people and organizations, in order to build a stronger sense of common unity (community).
